- The Product registered for iPhone for Life program must be returned in good condition and functioning properly. Trade-in prices may vary depending on the extent of damage to the returned Product.
- Service on the mobile number registered for iPhone for Life program must be active in the name of the Eligible Cardholder at the 1O1O at the time of the Product returned for trade in.
- The Product Return Option is non-transferrable and shall only be exercised by the Cardholder who signed up for iPhone for Life and purchased the Product from the us with the Eligible Card.
- In the event where the original Product is swapped by Apple Authorized Repair Centre (e.g. warranty claim) or Restart Service, document prove showing the swap shall be provided to us for exercising the Product Return Option.

- “Citi iPhone for Life Plan” (the “Plan”) consists of Merchant Installment Plan, a loan provided by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Citibank”) (the “Merchant Installment Plan” or “Loan”) and Guaranteed Buy-Back Value provided by the designated mobile service providers (the “Guaranteed Buy-Back Value”).

- If the Cardholders enroll the Plan, the Cardholder shall be deemed to have read, agreed, and accepted all the terms and conditions governing the Plan. Citibank and/or the Merchants each reserves the right to vary or change such relevant terms and conditions in any appropriate method at any time without prior notice or accept or decline any application for the Plan without giving any reason therefor.
- Cardholders undertakes to repay the Loan Amount to Citibank by equal monthly installments through the Card (each an “Installment”) with the first Installment being charged on the Plan’s transaction date, and each subsequent Installment will be charged to the Eligible Card on the same monthly calendar day (or the next calendar day if there is no such day) of the Plan’s transaction date until the Loan Amount is fully repaid. - Account status must be current and in good standing under all the terms and conditions governing the Plan set out in Clause 4;
- the Product shall meet all the functional conditions and relevant requirements as assessed and designated by the Merchants in accordance with the Product Acceptance Criteria of respective Merchants’ respective Product Return Terms and Conditions (which may be named differently, collectively as “Product Return Terms and Conditions” in below). - Cardholders must return the Product to the same Merchants from whom the Product was purchased; and

- Cardholders shall not be entitled to Product Return Option if any of the conditions set out in Clause 9 is not fulfilled, in such circumstances:
- Cardholders shall not be entitled to receive the Product’s applicable Guaranteed Buy-Back Value from the Merchants, yet he/ she still has to fulfil the obligations or liabilities under the Plan
- Cardholders shall still be responsible for repaying the Loan Amount in full with equal monthly installment payments according to Merchant Installment Plan under the Plan, regardless whether or not Cardholders has exercised the Product Return Option.
- Cardholders shall be responsible for repaying the Loan Amount in full with equal monthly installment payments according to Merchant Installment Plan under the Plan, regardless whether or not Cardholders has exercised the Product Return Option voluntarily or Cardholders has been disqualified for the Product Return Option involuntarily due to the occurrence of any of the aforementioned event.
- The Product Return Option is solely provided by and at the discretion of the respective Merchants, and not by Citibank. Citibank does not guarantee nor warrant the availability of the Product Return Option nor the ability of the Merchants to buy back the Product at the Guaranteed Buy-Back Value in the event the respective Merchant(s) fails to do so for whatever reason, including without limitation in the event of bankruptcy or winding up of the Merchant. - Citibank is not a party to the Product purchase agreement between Cardholders and the Merchants, and makes no representation or warranty on the delivery, condition, servicing, suitability, availability or quality of the Product and its related services, as made available to Cardholders by the Merchants. Citibank shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that may be suffered by Cardholders, directly or indirectly, in connection with the Product. In no circumstances will Citibank be responsible for any refund or replacement of the Product for any reason.

- Eligible Customers are in full compliance with the Product Return Terms and Conditions of respective Participating Merchants and these Terms and Conditions governing Eligible Customers’ participation in the Plan. For the details of the Product Return Terms and Conditions of the Participating Merchants, please check with respective Participating Merchants.
- Hang Seng reserves the right to cancel or terminate the Plan at any time (including but not limited to below conditions) with reasonable notice and all outstanding balance of the Plan will become due and repayable immediately (i.e. all unpaid outstanding principle, handling fee and other charges of the Plan) if:
- Eligible Customer breaches any of these Terms and Conditions or Cardmember Agreement; or
- Eligible Credit Card Account is delinquent or Eligible Customer fails to repay any debt upon demand by Hang Seng; or
- Eligible Credit Card Account or the Plan is cancelled by Eligible Customer or terminated by Hang Seng, or on the Eligible Customer’s bankruptcy.
Notwithstanding any terms hereof, upon termination of the Eligible Credit Card Account or the Plan for any reason, all outstanding balance of the monthly installment payments under the repayment schedule of the Plan including the applicable “Guaranteed Buy-Back Value” will become due and payable immediately and will be automatically posted in full amount from the Eligible Credit Card Account.
- Eligible Customer shall not be entitled to Product Return Option if any of the conditions set out in Clause 5 is not fulfilled, in such circumstances:
- Eligible Customers’ participation in the Plan shall be cancelled or terminated, such cancellation or termination shall not affect his/her obligations or liabilities under the Plan;
- Eligible Customer shall not be entitled to receive the Product’s applicable “Guaranteed Buy-Back Value” from the Participating Merchants;
- Eligible Customer shall still be responsible for each of the equal monthly installments according to the repayment schedule up to the 24th tenor and the remaining installments representing the applicable “Guaranteed Buy-Back Value” under the Plan, regardless whether or not Eligible Customer has exercised the Product Return Option.
- The Product Return Option is solely provided by and at the absolute discretion of the Participating Merchants. Hang Seng neither guarantees nor warrants the availability of the Product Return Option nor the ability of the Participating Merchants to buy back the Product at the “Guaranteed Buy-Back Value” in the event the Participating Merchants fails to do so for whatever reason, including without limitation in the event of bankruptcy or winding up of the Participating Merchants. The Participating Merchants shall be solely responsible for disputes, enquires, liabilities and complaints in relation to the Product, Product Return Option, and the “Guaranteed Buy-Back Value” (if applicable) and its related services.
- All Products of this Plan are directly sold and supplied by the Participating Merchants who are solely responsible for all related obligations and liabilities. Hang Seng shall not in any event be liable for any failure by the Participating Merchants or its trade-in partner referred to in Clause 3 to provide or fulfill the “Product Return Option” for any reason whatsoever.
- All transactions that are found to be fraudulent or eventually cancelled / returned will be considered as ineligible transactions and are not applicable to this Plan.
- The Plan is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant services of Hang Seng. If there is any inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the relevant services and these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
- Hang Seng reserves the right to suspend, vary or terminate all the Plans at any time and to amend the relevant terms and conditions of the Plan from time to time without prior notice. The decision of the Bank on all matters relating to this Plan and the relevant Plans shall be final and binding on all parties concerned. In case of any discrepancy arising out of the Plan, the decision of Hang Seng Bank shall be final and conclusive.
- No person other than the customer and Hang Seng (which includes its successors and assigns) will have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
- These Terms and Conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirements.
- The English version of these terms and conditions shall prevail whenever there is a discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions.
General Terms and Conditions of “iPhone for Life Extra Reward”
- iPhone for Life Extra Reward includes “100% rebate on the 1st repayment amount” (the “Reward 1”) and “APPLE gift Lucky draw” (the “Reward 2”), (collectively as “Extra Reward”)
- Unless otherwise specified, the promotion period is from 23 September to 31 December 2022, both date inclusive (“Promotion Period”). Extra Reward is divided into two phases, from 23 September 2022 to 12 November 2022 (“Phase 1”) and from 13 November 2022 to 31 December 2022 (“Phase 2”).
- Extra Reward is applicable to Principal Cardholders of Hang Seng Credit Card, Affinity Card, Commercial Card, Corporate Card or Spending Card, but excluding Hang Seng USD Visa Gold Card, Renminbi Credit Card, UnionPay Renminbi Diamond Commercial Card, Private Label Card, and all Supplementary Cards (“Eligible Credit Card”) (“Eligible Customers”).
- During the Promotion Period, Eligible Customers (including Staff of Hang Seng Bank) must fulfill the following requirements to enjoy the Extra Reward:
- Register once only with their Eligible Credit Card online (either by directly go to the registration web page or through “Hang Seng Credit Card Chat with DORI”)
- Repay the full amount of the iPhone for Life by Hang Seng Credit Card Installment Plan using Eligible Credit Cards with an equal monthly installment payment according to the repayment schedule (“Eligible Transaction”)) at Participating Merchants
- Only Eligible Transactions completed by the registered Eligible Credit Card during the Promotion Period will be counted for the Extra Reward.
- The Eligible Transaction must be completed within the Promotion Period and posted to the relevant credit card accounts within 14 days after the Promotion Period. If the principal card and its supplementary card share the same credit limit, the Eligible Transaction will be calculated on a combined basis and the rebate will be credited into the principal card account. Such credit card accounts and Eligible Transaction should remain valid and in good standing when the relevant Extra Reward are credited.
- Spending amount is calculated based on a single credit card account, including spending of supplementary card for which transactions are posted to the same principal card account.
- No alteration or cancellation can be made to the registration, and all rewarded Extra Reward cannot be transferred or converted into cash or other products under any circumstances.

- Reward 1 is available in a quota cap of 10,000, on a first-come-first-served basis, while quota lasts.

- To get a lucky draw entry in Phase 1 or Phase 2, Eligible Customers should have opted-in SMS channel to receive Hang Seng Bank’s latest offers, promotion and services message, subject to status of the Bank’s record at the time of the Lucky Draw.
- The lucky draw is on a per Eligible Customer basis. Each Eligible Customer will be entitled to a maximum of 1 lucky draw entry per the entire Promotion Period for all the Eligible Transactions made with all the Eligible Credit Cards under the same Eligible Customer’s name.
- Eligible Customers will be automatically entitled to 1 lucky draw entry for Eligible transaction(s) made during Phase 1 and posted to the relevant credit card accounts on or before 26 November 2022 and automatically entitled to 1 lucky draw entry for Eligible transaction(s) made during Phase 2 and posted to the relevant credit card accounts on or before 14 January 2023.

Terms and Conditions for iPhone for Life Programme applicable to Personal Credit Card Cardholders (“Terms and Conditions”)
- iPhone for Life
- iPhone for Life is a programme under which you may purchase a Product using an Eligible Credit Card under Interest-free Merchant Instalment Plan of more than 24 monthly instalment payments.
- You will need to make 24 monthly instalment payments according to the repayment schedule, and the remaining instalments represents the Guaranteed Buy-Back Value. Upon full repayment of the 24 monthly instalment payments, you may elect to exercise the Product Return Option provided by the Participating Merchants to return the Product to the respective Participating Merchants to receive the Product’s Guaranteed Buy-Back Value from the Participating Merchants, if:
- the Product is returned to the same Participating Merchants from whom the Product was purchased; and
- the Product shall meet all the function conditions and relevant requirements as assesses and designated by the Participating Merchants in accordance with the product acceptance criteria of respective Participating Merchant’s Product Return Terms and Conditions, which may vary from time to time. Alternatively, you may choose not to exercise the Product Return Option and continue to pay for the remaining instalments according to the repayment schedule.
- You are eligible to apply for the iPhone for Life Programme if you hold an Eligible Credit Card and your credit card account is valid and in good standing.
- The duration of the Programme is subject to the dates announced by the Participating Merchants.
- The Product Return Option is solely provided by and at the absolute discretion of the Participating Merchants. In the event the Participating Merchants fails to buy back the Product at the Guaranteed Buy-Back Value, including without limitation in the event of bankruptcy or winding up of the Participating Merchants, the Participating Merchants shall be solely responsible for disputes, enquires, liabilities and complaints in relation to the Product, Product Return Option, and the Guaranteed Buy-Back Value and its related services.
- The Product is directly sold and supplied by the Participating Merchants. We are not liable for the goods and services provided by any merchants or its trade-in partner.
- You have to keep all original sales slips or official payment records of the Product. In case of dispute, we may at any time ask you to submit these slips, records, and/or further evidence for inspection and we may keep them.
- If we believe that you have acted in a fraudulent or abusive way, you will not be able to participate in the Programme and we can debit your credit card to repay all outstanding balance or cancel your credit card.
- In case of dispute arising out of this Programme, our decision shall be final and conclusive.
- Termination
- Upon termination of the Eligible Card, Eligible Card account or the Programme for any reasons, all outstanding balance of the monthly instalment payments under the repayment schedule of the Programme, including the applicable Guaranteed Buy-Back Value, will become immediately due and payable by you and will be automatically posted in full amount from the Eligible Card account.
- We reserve the right to cancel or terminate the Programme at any time.
- Applicable Terms and Conditions
- The terms and conditions of the Eligible Credit Card, Interest-free Merchant Instalment Plan, RewardCash Programme, Reward+ and all other applicable prevailing promotions offered by us will continue to apply.
- We have the right to change or cancel the Programme or vary the terms and conditions of the Programme from time to time. You will be bound by a variation unless we actually receive full payment of the total amount of all instalment outstanding under the Programme before the date on which that variation takes effect. - Governing law and version
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by and will be construed according to Hong Kong laws.
- Our provision and your use of the Interest-free Merchant Instalment Plan are subject to any applicable regulatory requirements.
- The English version of these Terms and Conditions prevails to the extent of any inconsistency between the English and the Chinese versions. Any Chinese version of these Terms and Conditions is for reference only.
Definitions
- “Programme” means the iPhone for Life programme.
- “Eligible Credit Card” means any Hong Kong Dollar personal primary, combined additional or separate additional credit cards issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited in Hong Kong (and its successors and assigns). HSBC Pulse UnionPay Dual Currency Diamond Credit Card and HSBC UnionPay Dual Currency Card are not Eligible Credit Cards.
- “Interest-free Merchant Instalment Plan” means the credit card interest-free merchant instalment plan offered by the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Hong Kong (and its successors and assigns) from time to time. You may pay a transaction by Interest-free Merchant Instalment at designated participating merchants using HSBC credit cards. Participating merchants might provide various repayment tenors and may require minimum transaction amount.
- “Product” means specific iPhone model and other Apple® products that we and the Participating Merchants may jointly decide to make available under the Programme from time to time.
- “Product Return Option” means the option provided by the Participating Merchants that may be exercised by you to return the Product to the respective merchant to receive the Product’s Guaranteed Buy-Back Value
- “Participating Merchants” means XXXX.
- “Guaranteed Buy-Back Value” means a residual buy back value of the Product offered by the Participating Merchants under the Product Return Option as specified by the Participating Merchants from time to time.
- “Hong Kong” means the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.

- Only the first 2,000 successfully registered Cardholders are eligible for the Extra Rewards. Registration will be closed when the quota is full. - Eligible Transactions made by the Principal and Supplementary Cardholder(s) of the same Eligible Card for the Promotion will be counted collectively.
- Registered Cardholders shall notify SCB if they do not receive the Extra Rewards within 1 month after the fulfilment date (that is, 30 April 2023); otherwise, SCB accepts no liability and will not be liable for any compensation.
- The Eligible Card accounts must be valid and in good financial standing at the time when the Extra Rewards is/are credited; otherwise the Extra Rewards will be forfeited without further notice. The Extra Rewards amount cannot be drawn as cash advance, is/are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and cannot be used to offset credit card payment.
- SCB will verify the transaction record(s) to confirm the Cardholders' eligibility under the Promotion. In case of discrepancy between SCB's computer record and details recorded on the credit card sales slips, SCB's computer record(s) shall prevail.
- If the Cardholders have cancelled any related transaction which had been included in calculating the Extra Rewards offered under the Promotion after the receipt of such Extra Rewards or the Eligible Transactions are otherwise refunded, SCB has the right to debit the Extra Rewards from the Cardholders' Eligible Card accounts or charge against the Cardholders a cost equivalent to the value of the Extra Rewards without further notice.

- Cardholders understand and accept that SCB is not the supplier of the products and/or services (including the Miles and the redeemed items) supplied by the merchant(s) under or in connection with this Promotion. SCB shall bear no liability relating to any aspect of the products and/or services (including the Miles and the redeemed items), including without limitation, their quality, the supply, the descriptions of products and/or services (including the Miles and the redeemed items) provided by the merchant(s), any false trade description, misrepresentation, mis-statement, omission, unauthorized representation, unfair trade practices or conduct in connection with the promotion of the offer(s) or in making available the offer(s) or the products and/or services (including the Miles and the redeemed items) under the Promotion, by the relevant merchant(s), their respective employees, officers or agents.
