What Services Does the "Journey Report" Provide?
Customers can contact a personal assistant via WhatsApp at 5217 1010 before their departure to set up to 5 message templates and up to 3 contacts. After departure, customers can use the Tian Tong satellite phone to contact the personal assistant at 5432 1010 to send one of the pre-set message templates to the designated contacts. The personal assistant will send the message from the number 5432 1010 and notify the customer via SMS about the content of the message and its forwarding status.

• Registered customers must contact WhatsApp at 5217 1010 to enroll in the service before departure.
•There may be a time lag between contacting the personal assistant and the assistant sending the SMS, and the company does not guarantee that the contacts will receive the messages. No further notice will be provided, and the company will not assume any responsibility.
•Customers must contact the personal assistant via WhatsApp at 5217 1010 to update message templates and contacts.
•To ensure fair usage of the service, the maximum usage limit for the Journey Report is 30 times per month. Once this limit is reached, the service will reset at the beginning of the next month.
•The character limit for message templates is within the range of a single SMS (70 characters in Chinese, 120 characters in English).

Coverage inside high-rise buildings may be limited as a result of structural interference. It is therefore recommended to use the service outdoors, or in open areas, for optimal performance.
How do I resolve signal reception issues with Tiantong Satellite Communications Service?
Signal issues may be caused by weather conditions or physical obstructions. If you encounter such problems, try reconnecting in an open area, or contact the satellite service support hotline for assistance.

Special Terms and Conditions for Tian Tong Satellite Service:
  1. Tiantong Satellite Service ("this service") provides voice and SMS functionality only, is applicable to designated mobile phone models and software versions and can be used in specified areas of satellite coverage. This service cannot be used in areas without designated satellite network signal coverage. For details on compatible mobile phone/device models, software versions and settings, please contact the mobile phone and software providers concerned.
  2. Environmental and weather conditions at a customer's location will directly affect the satellite signal's strength and quality of service. It is best to use this service in outdoor areas without obstructions.
  3. This service requires use of designated mobile phone models connected to the Tiantong-1 satellite network operated by China Telecom. Customers should therefore be aware of the Terms & Conditions before use. These include, but are not limited to:
    • China Telecom's Terms & Conditions
    • Chinese regulations
    • Terms & Conditions as dictated by the mobile phone provider and relevant software manufacturer.
  4. When customer connects to a designated satellite network, it is equivalent to roaming, so the mobile phone will disable mobile network functions until the satellite connection is turned off.
  5. The satellite network is not compatible with all mobile network functions. These include, but are not limited to, data services, multimedia messaging, three-way calling, call hold, caller ID restriction, USSD services and call forwarding.
  6. Customers should always be mindful of their personal safety and pre-familiarise themselves with operational procedures and limitations of this service and the mobile phone. Do not rely on this service as the sole emergency communications channel.
  7. This service is subject to the Terms & Conditions of our mobile communications service agreement.
  8. CSL Mobile Limited ("CSL") reserves the right to amend these special Terms & Conditions periodically. In the event of dispute, CSL reserves the right of final determination.

  2. This service is applicable to designated 1O1O monthly plan customers who have activated international direct dialling, roaming service, day-pass service, and who have subscribed to this service. If a customer has not registered for international direct dialing and roaming services, or has applied for "suspension of international direct dialing and roaming services," subscribing to this service indicates the customer's agreement to activate international direct dialing and roaming services, and agreement to "activate international direct dialing and roaming services."
  3. Unused minutes cannot be carried forward to the next billing month and will be voided at the end of the billing month.
  4. Users cannot subscribe to this service at the same time as subscribing to the "Tiantong Satellite Monthly Voice Plan".
  5. All voice calls are calculated on a per-minute basis, with any part of a minute being counted as a full minute.

We will charge customer the standard No Commitment Period Package monthly fee (same as the monthly fee during the commitment period), or the latest prevailing monthly fee, until you notify us to terminate the plan by calling our hotline on 2888 1010 at least 30 days in advance.
  7. Users cannot subscribe to this service at the same time as subscribing to the Tiantong Satellite Basic Voice Package.
  8. Call minutes included in this service are valid during the commitment period. Unused call minutes will automatically expire after the commitment period and will be charged according to the No Commitment Period Package prevailing at that time.
  9. All voice calls are calculated on a per-minute basis, with any part of a minute counting as a full minute.
  10. Before using Tiantong satellite voice and SMS service, please refer to the charges listed above. Please note charges may change periodically without notice.
  11. If customer terminates the mobile communications service before or during the commitment period, all relevant benefits will be deemed null and void. CSL Mobile Limited ("CSL") shall not be held liable for any loss resulting from such an eventuality.
  12. If customer terminates the service early during the commitment period, customer must pay an early termination fee amounting to the total value of monthly fees remaining in the commitment period.
  13. In the event of inconsistency or discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions, the English shall prevail.
